How to use

Texts are compared line by line. Lines only in the original are marked removed, lines only in the changed text are marked added, and matching lines are shown as unchanged. Very long texts (over 500 lines each) are not compared, to keep the page responsive.

Does it check single words inside a line?

No. This checker compares whole lines, which is the fastest way to spot changed paragraphs, lists and code blocks.
