How to use
Paste the text or URL, choose whether to encode a single component or a full URL, then press Encode or Decode. Encoding a component escapes characters such as / ? & and =, which is what you want for a value inside a query string; encoding a full URL keeps the structure characters intact.
What is the difference between encodeURI and encodeURIComponent?
encodeURI is for a complete URL: it leaves characters such as : / ? & and = alone. encodeURIComponent is for one value inside a URL, such as a search term, and encodes those characters too, so the value cannot break the address apart.
